文化創造館は開館以降、多様な分野のクリエイターを招き、市民と共に創造力を刺激する実験的な活動を実施してきました。今回、国内外あわせて306件の応募の中から選ばれたアーティスト、Rakhmi Fitriani（ラクミ・フィトリアニ）氏をインドネシアから招き、創造館を拠点に秋田で創作活動に取り組みます。

「風景のタペストリー」は、初めて出会う人々が自身の経験や記憶を語り合い、みんなで縫い合わせることで「風景の物語」を作品として織り成すプロジェクトです。
アーティストのラクミさんが秋田各所で様々な人々の「風景の記憶」と「布」を集め、秋田の風景と結びついた個人的な物語をもとにした新たな作品を秋田市文化創造館で制作します。
私たちを形づくってきた風景について語りあい、作品を共に制作することで、お互いをより深く理解する機会が生み出されることでしょう。

●ワークショップ
刺繍の表現を用いた作品制作のため、作品のテーマとなる「風景の記憶」をお聞きします。
開催日：9/8(月)、9/10(水)、9/15(月・祝)、9/17(水)、9/21(日)、9/23(火・祝)
各日13:00～16:00【予約不要・参加費無料】
＊開催日以外でもご要望に応じて開催いたします。日本語で参加可。

※ワークショップの日程や展示内容については、変更する可能性があります。
●9月前半
記憶の収集とリサーチ：初めての秋田での滞在準備・地域へのリサーチのため館内・周辺地域へのリサーチを行います。

●9月後半～10月前半
記憶の収集：創造館を拠点とした公開制作に加え、一緒に制作に参加できるワークショップを随時開催致します。
ワークショップ開催日以外でも制作を実施予定。
館内にて進捗をご覧頂けるほか、別日にてご協力をご希望の場合は是非ご相談ください。

●10月後半
プロジェクトの成果発表：滞在期間中に集めた新たな記憶をもとに、写真や拾得物を取り入れながら、有機的な形で作品を構成していきます。
期間：10月19日(日)～10月30日(木) 9:00~21:00

①不要となった衣服や布
刺繍を用いた作品制作のために、素材として使用して良い衣服や布がありましたら、秋田市文化創造館まで直接お持ちください（開館時間いつでも可。 汚れや傷みの酷いものについては受付をお断りする場合があります。ご不明点についてお気軽にご相談ください）。

②みなさんの風景の記憶
暮らしの中で、みなさんが特別だと感じる風景にまつわる記憶を作品のテーマとしています。
館内等にある配布用紙またはウェブフォームにて募集します。
募集期間：9月1日～10月18日

1.URLをクリックまたはスマートフォンでQRコードを読み込みます。

共有リスト（“Tapestry of Landscape -AKITA”）が表示されるため、”リストに保存”を選択。

2.追加したい場所を検索します。場所の情報ページで、保存アイコン（旗のマーク）をタップします。

3.「リストに保存」ウィンドウが表示されますので、Tapestry of Landscape – AKITA という名前のリストを選択して追加します。
よければ、「メモを追加」欄にその場所にまつわる簡単なコメントや思い出を書き込み、終わったら「完了」を押してください。日本語で書いていただいて構いません。

※すでにリストに登録されている場所でも、「メモを編集」アイコン（鉛筆マーク）をタップすれば、ご自身のストーリーを追加できます。
※その際、既に書かれている記録は削除せずに、ノート欄に追記してください。書き終えたら「完了」を押してください。

Creator in Residence 2025 ”TAPESTRY OF LANDSCAPE”

Since its opening, the Akita City Cultural Creation Center has invited creators from diverse fields to engage in experimental activities that spark creativity, collaborating with local citizens.
This time, out of a total of 306 applications from both Japan and abroad, the selected artist, Rakhmi Fitriani, will be invited from Indonesia to carry out her creative work based at the Center and throughout Akita.

Profile

Rakhmi Fitriani is a landscape architect and textile artist living in Pangalengan, a small town south of Bandung. In 2019, she began creating works with fabric and thread, experimenting with manually produced handicraft techniques that used texture and color as the primary means of expression.

Rakhmi’s art expresses her views and reflections on human-nature interactions, spatial shifts that occur in temporal processes, environmental degradation, and
climate change.

Project

“Tapestry of Landscapes” is a project in which strangers share their experiences and memories, stitching them together to weave the stories of landscapes into artworks.
Artist Rakhmi will travel across various locations in Akita to gather people’s landscape memories and fabrics. Based at the Sōzōkan, she will create new works inspired by the personal stories connected to each landscape.
By conversing about the landscapes that have shaped us and creating works together, this project offers an opportunity for deeper mutual understanding.

Residency Schedule

Early September
Memory Gathering and Research:
To prepare for the first stay in Akita and to conduct research on the local area, the artist will explore the Cultural Creation Center and surrounding neighborhoods.

● Networking Event Announcement
We will hold a networking event to introduce the program and the artist.
Anyone interested in supporting the artist’s work during the residency or in the future activities of the Cultural Creation Center is warmly welcome.

Late September – Early October
Memory Gathering:
In addition to public creation based at the Cultural Creation Center, workshops where participants can join in the creative process will be held from time to time.
Art-making will also take place on non-workshop days.
You are welcome to drop by the venue to see the progress, or contact us if you would like to collaborate on another day.

Call for Contributions

・Unwanted Clothing and Fabric
We are collecting unwanted clothing and fabric to be used as materials for the artworks.
During the project period, we will hold workshops where participants can create works using embroidery and share their “landscape memories,” which will serve as themes for the pieces.

・Your Landscape Memories
We are collecting memories related to landscapes that you feel are special in your daily life, to be used as themes for the works.
(Collection period: September 1 – October 18)
Submissions can be made using a written form or an online form. (You can include the QR code I sent that links to the Google Maps shared list.)

Here’s how to fill in the list of places in the Google Maps shared list.
